Spare parts

How to find the right car spare parts in Oman

Start with the vehicle’s make, model, year and the part you need. Ask a supplier to confirm compatibility in writing, then compare the complete quote—not just the price of the part.

Prepare one clear enquiry

A request such as “I need Nissan parts” leaves too much to guess. Give the supplier enough information to identify the vehicle and the exact item. Nissan Oman’s own parts-enquiry form asks for the model, year, VIN and additional details. That is a useful reminder that matching a part matters more than finding a similar-looking photo.

  • Make, model and model year; engine or trim if known.
  • Part name and number, if you have them. State the side or position, such as front left.
  • A clear photo of the old part and its label, where it is safe to photograph.
  • Your location, whether you need fitting, and when you need the vehicle back.

Choose where to ask

For a manufacturer-branded replacement, start with the brand’s local parts department. An independent parts supplier may offer other brands or used items. Ask each seller what they are supplying and whether it is available now or needs ordering. A listing that says “Oman” does not by itself confirm stock in Muscat or delivery to your area.

Confirm fitment before paying

Parts can differ between model years, engines and vehicle specifications. Ask the supplier to confirm that the quoted part fits your particular vehicle. If a chassis number or VIN is needed, share it only through a trusted private channel. For a fault you cannot identify, get a qualified workshop to diagnose it before ordering a replacement.

Compare the whole cost

Ask for the part’s brand, condition and number, along with the warranty and return conditions. Confirm whether the quoted total includes applicable tax, delivery and fitting. Keep the written quote and invoice. A low parts price can be a poor comparison if another quote includes installation or a warranty that the first one excludes.

Send useful photos, not your whole document

A part photo is often more useful than a photo of your entire registration card. Do not post a Mulkiya, Civil ID, complete VIN or personal contact details publicly. If a supplier needs vehicle information from a document, cover unrelated personal details and send only what is necessary.

Where OUQM Care fits

OUQM Care is an enquiry feature in the owner app being prepared for public release. It lets you describe a parts or servicing need and continue a private conversation with the OUQM team. An enquiry does not confirm stock, price, a purchase or a workshop booking. Public app availability is listed on our app page.

Common questions

Can I identify a part from a photo alone?

A photo helps, but it may not establish compatibility. Include the part number when available and ask the supplier to confirm fitment for your vehicle.

Does an OUQM Care request place an order?

No. It starts an enquiry with the team. Confirm the part, availability, total price and terms before agreeing to a purchase.
